Diaper Rash & Prevention

If you want a happy baby you sure don't want a diaper rash !

OWwee...is what I always feel when I see a baby with a diaper rash~It hurts !
They are so uncomfortable~sore~stinging~burning sensation and just seem so hard to get rid of...
NOT if you find the right ointment to handle poor baby's sore or soon to be irritated bottom...
AND loosen that diaper ! dMinerals "Baby BupKiss Diaper Ointment" is very gentle soothing and healing...

Prevention is the best way to go believe me...it is gut wrenching once baby gets a bad diaper rash and
screams and cries especially when you try to clean the affected area !
Irritation/rash can come from various things...From Allergies... sensitive skin-some babies just have very sensitive skin...
Even their diaper may be the thing that is causing the rash...foods and skincare products-Not all food and skincare work the same for everyone..
stool and urine, sensitive skin and as we all know antibiotics can wreak havoc on our body ! They can even be passed through mothers breast milk causing irritation...

....Healing,natural,organic ingredients are the best (the less toxins in it the better)...
Ointments that contain zinc oxide- titanium dioxide-lavender & chamomile-shea-calendula (to name a few)
tend to soothe baby's irritated skin/bottom and helps to prevent a sore bottom
At bath time use mild, toxin free bath products and make sure you rinse well and let baby's bottom dry out before applying ointment-creams and diaper...

Baby spends a lot of time in a diaper...A place that does not get very much fresh air and is usually a moist/damp area..the breeding grounds for a diaper rash....
The rash can range from just a few red dots or slight redness to a horrific open sore baby bottom....

First of all I would like to say that if you know or think your baby is prone to a rash on his or her bottom use a good ingredient product that is safe for baby's skin to help prevent the rash and soreness ! AND change their diaper often-as soon as you know they went potty CHANGE AND CLEAN THEM TO PREVENT DIAPER RASH.....

Always keep baby's diaper area as clean and dry as possible...Keep the diaper in fresh air for as long as possible to dry out the diaper area before putting on ointment and diaper...the skin needs to breathe and be dry...
Also if you use wipes like most do...use the ones without the harsh chemicals, the chemicals also irritate babies tender skin...If baby sits in a soiled diaper for a long time ...most likely they will end up with a rash ! Human waste is acidic and allows bacteria and yeast to thrive !

You may need to switch the products you currently use if the diaper rash continues or keeps coming back. Your baby may be having some kind of allergic reaction to what you are using including the diapers~bath and skincare products~foods~laundry products etc....

*** If baby's rash does not heal up in a few days or tends to look worse, pain with each urination or bowel movement,a fever with the diaper rash, bleeding, oozing, itching skin CALL YOUR DOCTOR... It could be more than just a rash...Some diaper rashes are caused by antibiotics that led to a yeast infection (call your doctor)
